BenchGecko is the data layer of the AI economy. These guidelines ensure consistent representation of our brand across all platforms, partners, and media.
Brand Name
"BenchGecko" is always one word, capital B capital G. Never "Bench Gecko", "benchgecko", or "bench-gecko".

Logo
The BenchGecko logo is a stylized gecko paw print in Hot Pink (#FF0050). It represents our tracking mission — every footprint is a data point.

Logo Don'ts
Light-First Design
BenchGecko is light-first. Cream (#FAF3E8) is the default page background, with white (#FFFFFF) for cards and data surfaces. Dark mode inverts to Midnight (#1a1a2e) backgrounds with Cream text. The header and footer are always Midnight, regardless of mode.
The header and footer always remain Midnight (#1a1a2e) in both modes. This anchors the brand and gives every page a consistent frame.

Each major content category has its own accent color for navigation, badges, and visual grouping.
Score Colors
Benchmark scores use a fixed 5-tier color scale across all tables and charts.
Typography
Four type families serve distinct roles. Each has a Tailwind utility class for quick use.
Bold, geometric sans for the logo lockup. Used exclusively for the BenchGecko wordmark.
Clean, modern geometric sans for body text, navigation, and UI components.
Display face for section headings. Adds visual hierarchy without competing with data.
Fixed-width face for all numerical data, code snippets, API examples, and pricing.
Iconography
We use Phosphor Icons (duotone weight) across the entire product. This gives a consistent, slightly playful-but-professional feel.
Icon color is always Hot Pink (#FF0050) for primary actions and Midnight (#1a1a2e) for secondary/nav.

The gecko paw SVG can be used as a decorative element throughout the site. It appears as watermarks, bullet points, and empty state illustrations.
4% opacity on card backgrounds. Adds brand texture without competing with content.
Mini paw replaces standard bullets in feature lists and highlights.
10% opacity paw as placeholder when no data is available.

BenchGecko speaks with data, not opinions. Our voice is a data terminal, not a tech blog.

Tables over paragraphs. Numbers over adjectives. Let the data tell the story.
Human mode translates technical data into plain language anyone can understand.
Never write "best", "worst", "recommended". We rank by data, not opinion.
Never hype a model or provider. No exclamation marks in data context.
Never use "game-changing", "revolutionary", "groundbreaking". The data speaks.
Never predict outcomes. "Price dropped 23% in 30 days" — not "this model will dominate".

Every data point on BenchGecko has two faces: Machine mode (raw data, technical) and Human mode (plain language, accessible). This toggle is a core brand feature.
